about me
Iām a clinical social worker (LCSW) who has been working in social work since 2009. I have worked in community mental health settings, universities, non-profits, and public health clinics. I have a wealth of experience to bring to our work together. I specialize in working with individuals with anxiety, depression, and folks needing support with self-advocacy.
even more about me
I want to facilitate healing and increase joy in our community and the wider world. Collaborating with others to provide a sense of belonging for me, friends, colleagues, and clients is part of this goal. I want to continue to learn and grow as a human being, a creative person, and a therapist. I want to support people in become more authentically themselves.
I have extensive experience working with folks struggling with and recovering from addictions. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and welcome clients of diverse genders and sexual orientations. I attended Oberlin College for my undergraduate degree in biology (2005), and I have a degree in arts in poetry from the University of Montana (2012) as well as an MSW (Master of Social Work) degree from ASU Tucson (2016).
Learning more is an important part of my practice. I have training in motivational interviewing, emotionally focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and adolescent psychology. Every year I seek out additional training and take the time to learn more about how to become a better, more compassionate therapist.
